What does wheel diamond cutting include?

Complete car wheel restoration is carried out in several precise stages to achieve a factory-level finish and a striking metallic shine:

Wheel blasting
We completely remove old paint, oxidation and dirt, preparing the disc surface for further processing.
Wheel priming
Priming increases resistance to oxidation and provides a smoother surface and colour fastness.
Wheel powder coating
The wheels are coated in your chosen color. Classic choices like black and graphite are especially popular, as they best highlight the metallic sheen of the diamond-cut surface and the wheel spoke design. However, a wide range of custom colors is also available to suit individual preferences.
Wheel diamond cutting
After painting, the diamond-cut areas of the wheel — the lip and/or the face — are precisely machined, removing a thin layer of metal.
Wheel clear coating
The wheels can be coated with matte, glossy, or candy clear coat, which serves as a protective layer.

Seasonal features
Latvian winter conditions, with road salt and various chemicals, can damage the lacquer on diamond-cut wheel surfaces. Once this protective layer is compromised, moisture and salt can seep beneath the coating, causing oxidation and potential wheel damage.

Keep in mind that the diamond-cut surface has only one layer of clear coat, unlike the rest of the wheel, which is covered with three layers — primer, powder coat, and clear coat.

Therefore, this restoration process is best suited for summer season use ensuring greater wheel longevity.
